How to Play & Master
Starting your woodworking journey in Wood Shop is incredibly intuitive. Here is a step-by-step guide to crafting your first masterpiece:
Step 1: Carving the Shape. At the beginning of each level, you will see a spinning block of wood and a target outline (blueprint) in the background. Tap and hold your carving tool against the wood to shave off layers. Move the tool left and right to match the wooden block's shape to the transparent blueprint. Be careful not to cut too deep!
Step 2: Polishing. Once the carving is complete, the rough wooden object needs smoothing. Select the sponge tool and drag it back and forth over the spinning wood until the surface is completely smooth.
Step 3: Painting and Decorating. Now for the fun part! You will be given spray paint cans. Follow the target design or use your imagination. You may also use stencils to apply specific patterns. Hold the spray can over the areas you want to color.
Step 4: Display and Earn. After applying the final coat of paint, your object is complete! The game will rate your accuracy based on how closely it matches the blueprint. You will earn coins based on your performance, which can be used to unlock new lathe tools and paint colors.
