Playing Soul Devour is easy to learn but requires careful thought and observation before you make a move. Each level presents you with a floating platform made of square tiles. Your character, a ghostly spirit, starts at a specific point on the grid. Scattered across other tiles are human characters that you need to consume to complete the stage. To move, simply swipe on the screen in the direction you want the ghost to go. The ghost will rapidly dash along the tiles. As you pass through the tiles containing humans, your ghost will automatically devour them. Your objective is to achieve a 100% clear rate by eating every single person on the board. However, you must pay close attention to the floor layout. Some tiles are marked with red colors or warning outlines. These are deadly traps! If your ghost steps onto a trap tile, the game is instantly over ("You can't escape..."), and you will have to restart the level. Before making your first move, look at the entire grid, plan your path mentally, and find the safe continuous route that connects all the humans while bypassing the dangers. Sometimes, you may need to zigzag to find the correct path!
