Getting started with Merge Defense 2 is incredibly intuitive. When you begin the game, you will have an empty grid and a small amount of starting coins. Recruit Heroes: Tap the glowing button at the bottom of the screen to spend coins and summon a Level 1 hero onto an empty slot on your board. Merge and Upgrade: Buy a second Level 1 hero. Once you have two heroes of the same level on the board, simply drag and drop one onto the other. They will magically merge into a much stronger Level 2 hero. Keep repeating this process (e.g., merging two Level 2s to make a Level 3) to build a formidable squad. Fight and Earn: You don't need to control the attacks. Your heroes will automatically shoot arrows and swing their weapons at the monsters entering the top of the screen. Every monster you damage or defeat drops gold coins.
